Terms of Service
These Terms govern your use of the VeloSpend Android app, its cloud sync service, and optional VeloSpend Pro features. By using VeloSpend, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy.
Who May Use VeloSpend
You must be legally capable of agreeing to these Terms in your location. If you use VeloSpend for another person or organisation, you confirm that you have authority to do so and accept responsibility for that use.
Personal Budgeting Tool; No Financial Advice
VeloSpend is a personal record-keeping and planning tool. It does not connect to a bank, hold money, execute payments, provide credit, or provide financial, legal, tax, accounting, or investment advice. Reports, reminders, and forecasts depend on the information you enter and may be incomplete or inaccurate. Verify important figures independently before making decisions.
Accounts and Security
You can use guest mode locally or create an account for cloud sync. You are responsible for accurate account information, protecting your device and sign-in credentials, and promptly reporting suspected unauthorised access. Email verification may be required before sync or Pro access is available.
Your Content and Data
You retain your rights in financial records and other content you enter. You give VeloSpend permission to process that content only as needed to operate features you choose, including calculations, reminders, sync, recovery, support, and deletion. You are responsible for the legality and accuracy of your content and for keeping any exported files or backups secure.
Free Features and VeloSpend Pro
Some features and limits differ between Free and Pro. Current feature details are described in the App Guide and in the app. We may improve or reorganise plans, but a change will not override rights you have under applicable law or an active Google Play purchase.
Subscriptions, Renewal, and Cancellation
- Pro subscriptions are purchased and billed through Google Play. The price, currency, billing period, taxes, and any eligible trial or promotion are shown before you confirm purchase.
- Unless Google Play identifies a plan as non-renewing, a subscription automatically renews until cancelled. Google Play charges the payment method associated with your Google account under the terms shown at checkout.
- You can manage or cancel renewal through Google Play. Cancellation normally leaves Pro available until the end of the paid period, subject to Google Play's rules and applicable law.
- Uninstalling the app or deleting a VeloSpend account does not cancel a Google Play subscription. Cancel it separately in Google Play.
- Refund eligibility is governed by Google Play's refund policies and applicable law. Contact support if a feature does not work as described.
Pro access may require a verified VeloSpend account, network access, an active Google Play entitlement, and successful server verification. Pending, expired, refunded, revoked, or otherwise ineligible purchases do not provide Pro access.
App Licence
Subject to these Terms, VeloSpend grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the app for lawful personal budgeting. You may not sell or sublicense the app, bypass access controls or plan limits, interfere with the service, introduce malicious code, scrape or overload endpoints, impersonate another person, or use the app unlawfully. Nothing here limits rights that cannot legally be restricted.
Third-Party Services
VeloSpend relies on services such as Google Play, Firebase Authentication, Android platform components, and Google ML Kit. Their availability and your use of them may be subject to their own terms and policies. VeloSpend is not responsible for third-party outages or decisions outside its reasonable control.
Availability, Updates, and Changes
We work to keep VeloSpend reliable, but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. Features may be updated, repaired, limited, or discontinued for security, legal, operational, or product reasons. Install updates promptly, keep independent backups where appropriate, and review synced or restored data before relying on it.
Suspension and Termination
We may restrict service access when reasonably necessary to investigate abuse, protect users or infrastructure, comply with law, or address a material breach of these Terms. You may stop using the app at any time and can delete data or your account as described on the Data Deletion page. Terms that by their nature should survive termination remain effective.
Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, VeloSpend is provided “as is” and “as available,” without implied warranties. VeloSpend is not liable for decisions based on user-entered or estimated information, loss caused by unsecured devices or exported files, third-party outages, or indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. These Terms do not exclude consumer guarantees, statutory rights, or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms as the app or applicable requirements change. The updated date will appear at the top. Material changes may also be communicated in the app or through another appropriate channel. Continuing to use VeloSpend after updated Terms take effect means you accept them where permitted by law.
